Enfield Falls Archaeological Research Project

Recent Projects

I have worked successfully and cooperatively with site directors, teams of field archaeologists, students, geophysicists and other geoarchaeological specialists on academic and contract projects to generate interpretive models of uses-of-space.  I have worked on a number of established archaeological projects, including the 1793-1803 village of French Azilum (French Azilum, PA), two Bronze Age roundhouses and a late Medieval and post-Medieval deserted village on Slievemore (Co. Mayo, Ireland), and the pre-Civil War village of Enfield Falls (Enfield Falls, NY).  My own research has focused on examining promontory forts in western Ireland to help determine the primary function of the sites, which  has remained undetermined through ground survey and excavation of the sites.

I have included short outlines of each project, a short description of my findings and examples of how I integrated phosphate analysis with ongoing archaeological research to address the specific goals of each project.
